May 15, 1926 — August 6, 2013

Allene Angel Boyce, 86, of Gainesville and a former longtime resident of Stanton, passed away suddenly at her home in Gainesville on Tuesday, August 6, 2013.

A visitation for family and friends is scheduled at the Gilbreath Funeral Home in Stanton from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, August 10, followed by graveside services at 1 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton with Rev. Robert Boyce officiating.

Born in Buford, Texas on May 15, 1926, Allene attended public schools in Loraine, Texas and married Daymon Lee Boyce in February 1945. He passed away after a long illness in June 1992. The couple had moved to Gainesville a year earlier to be nearer to their son. They were members of the First Baptist Church of Stanton.

Allene is survived by her son and daughter in law, Rodger and Juddi Boyce of Gainesville; three grandchildren, Brandon Boyce of Lubbock, Leila Boullion of Galveston, and Lauren Boyce of Texas City; and five great grandchildren.
