Jimmy Edward Hamilton

Funeral services for Jimmy Edward Hamilton, 66, of Era, are set for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at the Era Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Era Cemetery under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at the funeral home.

Jimmy was born in Muenster on June 22, 1947 to Joe Edward and Joyce Matthews Hamilton. He passed away in Denton on August 10, 2013.

He is survived by his wife Peggy of Era; daughter Sherree Weaver and her husband Derrick of Callisburg; grandsons Seth Weaver and Walker Weaver both of Callisburg; parents Joe and Joyce Hamilton of Gainesville; brother Billy Joe Hamilton of Gainesville; brother-in-law Melvrin Murry of Gainesville; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, sister-in-laws, and brother-in-laws.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Tarjia Beaver; son Joe Beaver; and a sister Linda Sue Murry.
