Patricia Ann Boyd

Patricia Ann Boyd, 66, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 12, 2013 in Nocona, TX after her courageous battle with cancer. Pat was born December 27, 1946 in Seattle, WA to the late Maurice and Doris Hansen. She graduated from Richardson High School in 1965 and held various positions in banking, accounting, office management and home health care. She also earned awards as an Avon representative for highest regional sales while being a stay-at-home mom.

Pat was a woman of enduring faith whose sweet and caring nature preceded her. As a loving mother and grandmother she welcomed visits from family and friends with such delight, always seeing the best in everyone. Shopping and eating out were among her favorite things to do, but perhaps her greatest passion was to love and play with her dogs. Although her four-legged friends would vary from time to time, she would always be found with at least one, if not quite a few more, by her side.

Pat is survived by her son Brian Boyd and his wife Michele of Nocona, daughter Melissa Ahrens and her husband Jeremiah of Colorado Springs; son Bradley Boyd and his wife Megan of Gainesville; and 8 grandchildren: Devin Vergara, Dylan and Zachary Boyd, Georgia, Hadley and Scarlett Ahrens, and Tristen and Brady Boyd. She is also survived by her brother, Roy G. Hansen, and friends Lisa Hogan, Judy Wheeler and her best friend Janice Leon.

Pat fought with the greatest of dignity and fortitude, and now rests in eternal peace in Paradise. She will be so dearly missed.

A Celebration of Life service/potluck will be held at 3:00 pm on August 18, 2013, at A Hand Up Food Pantry, 207 Clay St, Nocona, TX. Pat requested prior to her passing that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent in her name to A Hand Up (P.O. Box 204, Nocona, TX 76255), or to a local animal shelter.
