Helen Marie Jones

Funeral mass for Helen Marie Jones, 79, of Gainesville, will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, October 17, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Fr. Victor Cruz officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.

A rosary will be recited, with a visitation to follow, at 6:00 PM Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Helen passed away at her residence on October 13, 2013.

Ms. Jones was born in Lindsay on November 7, 1933 to Theodore and Agnes Hermes Neu.

Helen was a devout member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed 46 years of employment at First State Bank until retiring to spend more time with family and friends.

Ms. Jones is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Chris and Angie Jones of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law Diane and Scott Twesme of McKinney; grandchildren Christi and her husband Lloyd Hansard of Gainesville, Kayla Smith of Gainesville, Carlie Jones of Gainesville, and Jackson, Kate, and Kingston Twesme of McKinney. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Jeanne Hoenig, Patsy Rohmer, Stella Stinnett, Shirley Dorsch, David Neu, Donna Boschert, Dennis Neu and sister-in-law Clara Mae Taylor.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; brother Michael Neu; sister Carol Neu; nephews Bobby Hoenig, Jeff Neu, and Brad Neu.
