Odis Strickland

Funeral services for Odis Loyd Strickland, 82, of Tyler, are set for 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct 24, 2013, in the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Brasher officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
Burial services will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.

Odis went to be with his Lord and Savior on Oct 21, 2013, in Tyler.
Odis was born in Whitesboro, TX on March 18, 1931, to Trammel and Mabel Thompson Strickland.
Odis was a long time member of the First Assembly of God Church in Gainesville, TX where he faithfully served.

Odis is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, William and Shelly Strickland of Tyler, his brother and sister –in-law, Troy and Barbara Strickland of Farmington, NM, his sister and brother-in-law, Doris and George Naeter of Forney, granddaughters Erin and Alyssa Strickland, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Jacquelyn Strickland, and his sister Virginia Watkins.
