Funeral Mass for Manuel Rodriguez Fierro, 72, of Gainesville, is set for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday October 30, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at New Resthaven Cemetery under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A rosary was held at the funeral home on Monday, October 29, 2013.

Manuel was born on May 24, 1941 in Progresso, Chihuahua, Mexico to Santiago and Paula Fierro Rodriguez. He passed away on October 28, 2013 in Gainesville.

He is survived by his wife Aurora Rodriguez of Gainesville; son Manuel Rodriguez, Jr. of Grants, N.M.; son Leobardo Rodriguez of Phoenix, AZ; son Leopoldo Rodriguez of Hermosillo, Son., Mexico; son Paul Rodriguez of Gainesville; son Jorge Rodriguez of La Porte; daughter Evlia Chavez of Gainesville; son Ivan Rodriguez of Gainesville; 16 grandchildren; seven brothers; and 2 sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother; and a sister.
