Nelson J. Zanchetta

A visitation will be held for Nelson J. Zanchetta, 69, of Era, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Friday, November 22, 2013 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.


Mr. Zanchetta passed away November 19, 2013 in Muenster.


Nelson was born November 27, 1943 in Baltimore, MD to Victorio and Maria Bernardi Zanchetta. He married his sweetheart, M. Colleen Alderman on October 15, 1966 in Baltimore, MD.


Mr. Zanchetta enjoyed doing anything as long as it involved working with his hands. He had numerous hobbies that he loved, including shooting and reloading, fishing, painting, and flying R/C airplanes.


Nelson is survived by his wife of 47 years, M. Colleen Zanchetta of Era; sisters Mary Jane and Alba; grandchildren Narinda Milburn and her husband Andrew, and Zach Zanchetta; great-grandchildren Sophia, Isaac, and Addy.


Mr. Zanchetta was preceded in death by his parents; his son Richard Nelson Zanchetta; his two brothers Victor and Floyd.
