Funeral services for Donna Mae Billings, 58, of Gainesville, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Mission United Methodist Church with Rev. Roslyn Eugster officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 25.
Ms. Billings passed away November 22, 2013 in Dallas.
Ms. Billings was born April 5, 1955 in Neligh, NE to Lanny D. and Lillian Marie Billings. She graduated from Neligh High School and attended Grand Island Beauty School. In February 1974, she entered into a marriage with Marvin Kallhoff that produced her four beloved children. Ms. Billings enjoyed her time barefoot in her yard and garden. She was an avid supporter of the VFW Lady’s Auxiliary and Wounded Warrior Project. Ms. Billings worked at Weber Aircraft for the past 15 years.
Her children’s most cherished memories are of spending time visiting, hiking, and cooking outdoors. She was recently baptized by her son, Tyrel and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She also had a loving relationship with her father. The time the family spent together last Christmas and during her recent illness will always be remembered.
Survivors include: son, Cory Dean Kallhoff and wife, Jessica of Tolleson, AZ; daughter, Misty Marie Mitchell of Era; son, Shawn Leroy Kallhoff of Gainesville; son, Tyrel James Kallhoff and wife, Chasity of Gainesville; grandchildren: Devon, Brooke, Justus, Payton, Steven, Jackson, Braeden, Caiden, Nathan, Keynan, Makayla, Tristin, and Jordan; father, Lanny D Billings and wife, Sharon of Ainsworth, NE; mother, Lil Serna of Lindsay; sister, Bonnie Smith and husband, Jeff of Norfolk, NE; brother, Ron Billings and wife, Kathy of Orchard, NE; son-in-law, Bradley Mitchell of Era; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
