Katie Eberhart

Funeral service for Katie Eberhart 82, of Gainesville are set for Wenesday November 27, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Chapel with the Rev. Larry Eberhart officating with burial to follow in the Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday November 26, 2013 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Katie passed away on November 23, 2013 in Gainesville, Texas.

Katie was born on August 31, 1931 in Lubbock, Tx to William and Emma Morgan Jones. Katie married Herman Eberhart on January 6, 1948 in Muenster ,Tx. She was employed by the Muenster I.S.D. as a bus driver for over 10 years. Katie enjoyed sewing, making Raggedy Ann Dolls and sock monkeys and enjoyed playing the guitar with her family the Jones family that starred playing on KGAF radio in the late 1940"s.

Katie is survived by her son and daughter in law Larry and Kathy Eberhart of Gainesville, grandchildren Tammy and husband James Rae of Graham, Tx, Jamey and Tonya Bryant of Saint Jo tx. Greatgrandchildren Kayleigh Crouch of New Castle, Tx, Trey and Ramey Starr of Graham, Tx, Lenzie, Kenzie and Clayton Bryant of Saint Jo, Tx and great great grandchildren Tristin and Peyton Crouch of New Castle, Tx and sister Janie Shasteen of Gainesville. She was preceded in death by her husband Herman Eberhart sisters Erma Mitchell, Lena Faye Randolph, Patsy Jones and Shirley Orsborn, brothers Jack, Bob, Billy and Tommy Jones.
