Jean Sorrell

Funeral services for Una Jean Sorrell, 86, of Gainesville, is set for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Garry Way, Rev. Jamie Baldwin, and Rev. Richard Way officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Jean was born in Cooke County on June 30, 1927 to Elbert Decatur and Evelyn Muriel (Long) Prine. She passed away on December 2, 2013 in Gainesville.

Jean is survived by son and daughter in law Gary and Jeanie Sorrell of Gainesville; son and daughter in law Vernon and Charlotte Sorrell of Gainesville; son and daughter in law Jimmy and Robin Sorrell of Gainesville; son and daughter in law Allan and Pam Sorrell of Gainesville; daughter and son in law Judy and James Miller of Gainesville; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; and a sister Talley Melear of Bedford. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dow in 2005; 1 great-grandchild; sister Mary Eloise Prine; brother Elbert Prine; and brother Billy Prine.

Pallbearers will be Galen Sorrell, Joseph Sorrell, Brandon Sorrell, Jeff Sorrell, Matthew Sorrell, and Jonathan Elder.
