A memorial service for Kenneth ‘Wesley’ Fails, of Whitesboro, is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Kremling and Chance Dodd officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Wesley went home to be with our Lord on December 20, 2013 in Dallas.
On March 24, 1998, Wesley was born in Gainesville. Wesley was a student at Whitesboro High School and a member of the football team. Of all Wesley’s passions, fishing was the greatest, along with hunting, and camping at the lake. Known to eat his weight in peanut M&Ms and anything sweat, he is responsible for the broken latch on Nanna’s cookie jar. Wesley’s latest hobby was his new car, where he would have eaten, showered, and slept if possible.
Wesley is remembered as a kind, helping hand who wanted nothing more than to please others. Never meeting a stranger, he was kind to all those he encountered. There is a special love in Wesley’s heart for his family and the time he spent with them.
As anything camouflage is Wesley’s absolute favorite, you are encouraged to wear yours to the service.
Survivors include: parents, Holly and Bobby Russell, of Whitesboro; sisters, Faith and Kayce; grandparents, Tim “Pepaw” and Donna “Nanna” Day, and their child, Kenna, of Woodbine; grandparents, Tim and Paula Walke, of California; great-grandparents, Kenneth and Juanita Snider, of Callisburg; Aunt Val and Uncle Matt Streit, and their children, Chance, Caleb, and Eli, of Collinsville; and many other beloved relatives.
Members of the Whitesboro High School Football Team will be serving as honorary pallbearers. They are encouraged to wear their jerseys.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wesley Fails Memorial Fund at Landmark Bank, 1112 E California St, Gainesville, TX 76240.
