Funeral services for Mary Ruth Moseley Kindiger, 98, of the Leo Community, are set for 2 pm, Friday, December 27, 2013 at the Rosston Methodist Church with friend and neighbor Harold Bowles officiating. Burial will follow in the Rosston Cemetery under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 prior to the service at the fellowship hall of the church.
Mary Ruth passed away on December 24, 2013 at River Valley Health and Rehabilitation where she has lived since a heart attack in May. Prior to that time she had lived on the family farm between Leo and Rosston since 1944.
She was born on July 28, 1915 to Burt and Lizzie Wilson Moseley. At the age of five, her mother died leaving Burt to raise his four children alone. All of the siblings, Inez Stevens, John “Doe” Moseley, and Edwina Case are deceased. Mary Ruth married A.V “Hus” Kindiger on February 19, 1936 and to this union was born 8 children, “four boys and four girls”.
Survivors include daughters Bobbie Hanford of Boliver; Gail Knight of Era; and Karen Chapman of Austin and sons Jimmie Kindiger of Whitesboro and Eddie Kindiger of Callisburg. Surviving grandchildren are: Craig Kindiger of Krum; Jesika Hanford Jack of Australia; Ian Hanford of Albuquerque, N.M.; Sonya Bounds of Blossom, TX; Rhonda Moon of Decatur; Jaret Kindiger of Leo; Jordan Kindiger of Austin; Amanda Warren of Era; Joe Wm. Knight of Lubbock; Josh Kindiger of Prosper; Casey Kindiger of San Clemente, California; Deidra Davis of Lampasas; and Aaron Chapman of Portland, Texas. Great grandchildren surviving Granny Kindiger are: Brandi Kindiger of Krum; Tyler Hunnycut of Decatur; Macie Kindiger of Gainesville; Jacob Kindiger, Colton Morris, and Rae Ann Morris of Leo, Claire and Sam Warren of Era; Cole, Clay, Carley, and Catie Kindiger of Prosper; Arya and Sahalie Kindiger of San Clemente, and Kailey and Jonathan Davis of Lampasas.
She was preceded in death by husband A.V. Kindiger, daughter Ruth Ann McKinney, and sons Joe Frank Kindiger and Jerry Lynn Kindiger.
