John (Dub) Wayne Caraway

Funeral services for John Wayne “Dub” Caraway Sr., 78, of Gainesville are set for 3:00 PM Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Black officiating. Burial will follow in the Nelson Grove Cemetery. A visitation will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, the hour prior to the funeral.
Dub passed away at his residence on January 9, 2014.
He was born in Sandusky on May 29, 1935 to parents Johnnie Roy and Shirley Caraway. He married JoAnn Farmer on June 12, 1954.
He leaves his wife, JoAnn; three children, John (JW) Caraway Jr. of Whitesboro; Gail Parkhill of Gladewater and Arlene Prince of the home; grandchildren, Paige, Alan, and Steven; son-in-law, Victor Parkhill; daughter-in-law Donna Caraway; great-grandchildren Logan, Anthony, Michael, Chance, Maddi, Connor, Lennnox, Issac and London.
He was preceded in death by grandson John Wayne “Trey” Caraway III.
