Artie Juanita "Nita" Blake

A visitation for Artie Juanita "Nita" Blake, 80, of Gainesville will be held at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2014. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Crossroads Baptist Church in Gainesville.

Nita was born on July 12, 1933 to Art "Curley" Dan and Dollie (Shawn) Morris in Gainesville. She passed away on January 11, 2014 in Gainesville.

She is survived by her son Sam Blake of Johannesburg, South Africa; daughter Judy Blake Paschall of Gainesville; daughter Donna Feather and her husband Bill of Oklahoma City, OK; son Michael Blake and his wife Valarie of Gainesville; brother Alford Morris and his wife Marty of Gainesville; sister Marcella Rennels and her husband Paul of Myra; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Gene in 1995; her parents; three grandsons; and her great-granddaughter Krista Brewer.

Pallbearers will be Sam Blake, Michael Blake, Robert Boone, Ryan Hogan, Paul Rennels, and Gary Hess.
