Funeral service for Dennis Wolfe 90, formerly of Gainesville are set for Wednesday February 5, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Shady Grove Congregational Methodist Church located at 763 C.R. 222 Woodbine, Tx with the Rev. Lonnie Dotson officating with burial to follow in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home. Mr. Wolfe passed away on January 31, 2014 in Roanke, Tx.

Dennis was born on September 22, 1923 in Blue Mound, Kansas to George William and Bertha Branstetter Wolfe.Dennis was a WWII veteran serving in the United States Navy, he was employed by Armco Steel as a sales Representative, he was from a pioneer family settling around the Blue Mound, Kansas area'he enjoyed playing golf for over 30 years especially his time playing at Lake Kiowa, he was proud graduate of Kansas University, but his greatest passion was teaching the bible for over 40 years.

Dennis is survived by his son Richard A. Wolfe of Austin, Tx, daughters Kathy Eiler of Roanke and Rebecca C. Dill of Denton, Tx, grandchildren Kassie, Chase and Haley Dill, Chris and Kelly Eiler and great grandchildren Scarlett Elizabeth Dill and Kylee Sydney -Ray Mason. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ellen Wolfe son Dr. Robert F. Wolfe, two brothers and two sisters. Family will serve as pallbearers.
