A graveside service for Dortha Jo Sims, 94, of Angleton, formerly of Gainesville, is set for 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Februrary 11, 2014 at the Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Jones officiating, under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. No visitation is planned.

Dortha Jo was born on July 15, 1919 in Nocona to T.C. and Ernestine (Coleman) Tripp. She passed away on February 3, 2014 in Angleton.

She is survived by her two granddaughters, Gay Wilson and Amy Morgan, and three great grandchildren, Lauren Sangster, Zackery Clark, and Brooke Morgan all of Angleton, TX.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Conley Sims, and daughter, Kay Welch.
