Carolyn Patrice Crockett

Funeral services for Carolyn Patrice Crockett, 67, of Gainesville, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19 at the funeral home.


Mrs. Crockett was born January 6, 1947 in Dumas to Herschel and Lillie Patrick Dennington. She passed away February 15, 2014 in Gainesville.


Mrs. Crockett moved to Gainesville as a teenager and raised her family there with her previous husband, Danny Crockett. She worked more than 20 years at both Linda Jo Shoe Factory and Weber Aircraft. She enjoyed camping and fishing. She would also occasionally indulge in retail therapy. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister, and will be remembered for having a smile that would light up a room. She also dearly loved her dogs, Fancy and Little Bit.


Survivors include: son, Neil Crockett and wife, Mary of Valley View; son, Tracy Crockett of Gainesville; sister, Sandy Praizner and husband, Donald of Frisco; sister-in-law, Earlene Dennington of Gainesville; grandchildren: Dustin, Darcy, and Addison Crockett; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.


Mrs. Crockett was preceded in death by her parents; fiancé, John Hen; and brother, Danny Dennington.


The family wishes to thank the staff of North Texas Medical Center for the loving care they provided.
