Alice Cook

Funeral services for Alice Cook, 86, of Gainesville, will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Gainesville, with Rev. Steve Roach officiating.  Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.  A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, March 21, 2014 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mrs. Cook passed away March 17, 2014 in Plano.

Alice was born September 2, 1927 in Saint Jo to John George and Eula Hutson Hildebrand.  She married Doyce Cook on April 26, 1947.  She was active at the First Baptist Church, participating in several activities including the Women's Missionary Union, serving as president for several years.  She was a long time employee for Gainesville National Bank.

Mrs. Cook is survived by her husband of almost 67 years, Doyce Cook; daughter and son-in-law Marsha and Gary Henderson of Houston; grandchildren Michelle Henderson of Nashville, TN and Matthew Henderson of Houston; sister and brother-in-law Vida and Rodney Weaver of Vidor; sister and brother-in-law Velma and Joe Fowler of Burkburnett; sister-in-law Theresa Hildebrand of Enid, OK; nieces and nephews Valerie Collins, Kaye Hildebrand, Krista Northcut, Darla Marino, Kent Hildebrand, Luke Grant.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents and by her brother Raymond Hildebrand.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Henderson, Luke Grant, Kent Hildebrand, Garry Felderhoff, Jake Felderhoff, and Bob Bransford.
