Betty L. Echols

A funeral service for Betty L. Echols, 89, of Malakoff, will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 18, 2014 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with David Fretwell officiating.  A private burial will follow in the Hood Cemetery.  A visitation will be held the hour prior to the funeral service.

Mrs. Echols passed away April 15, 2014 in Malakoff.  She was born May 31, 1924 in Hood, to Overton and Charlie Mae Bentley Warren.  She lived most of her life in Gainesville and retired from the Gainesville School District.

Betty is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Michael W. and Terrie Echols of Malakoff.

Mrs. Echols was preceded in death by her husband Robert "Bob" Echols in 2005.
