Wayne Bunyard, 85, of Gainesville, passed from this life on May 2, 2014 after a long battle with cancer.

Wayne was born in Morrilton, AR on November 11, 1928 and attended schools in Morrilton and Mena, AR. He was a merchant in Gainesville for 46 years until he retired in 1998.

He was preceded in death by his parents George & Cleo (Wallace) Bunyard; siblings, Dale & wife Liddie Bunyard, Catherine & husband Ben Riggle, Hal Dean Bunyard, Lowetta Bunyard, Wallace & wife Annie Bunyard, Ellen & husband Will Wilson; brother-in-law Terry Herrman and nephew Randy Herrman.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 61 years, Fredda (Greenwood) Bunyard; son, Gary Bunyard of Llano; daughter, Sharon Bunyard of Lewisville; grandson, Patrick Bunyard of Beaumont; sister-in-law Ginger Hermann of Gainesville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

There was a family graveside service on May 4th conducted by the Rev. Hubert Wright and members of Lodge #210 of the Ancient Free & Accepted Masons.
