Ann L Jones

Ann L Jones, 93, of Gainesville, Texas died May 7, 2014 at North Texas Medical Center. She had been a resident of Gainesville Convalescent Center for the past 2 ½ years.
Services and burial will be graveside at Gainesville (Fairview) Cemetery on Saturday May 10, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Larry Huffman officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday May 10, 2014 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral Home.

Annie Luvicie Summar was born April 22, 1921 in Champagne, Piatt, Illinois to Farris and Ruth (Warren) Summar. She moved to Cooke Co., in 1934. She was a resident of Gainesville 67 years. She married Jesse A Jones May 1944 in Love County, Oklahoma. She graduated from Gainesville High School in May 1943. She worked in various jobs around the Gainesville area, notably as primary cook at S H Kress Co and store clerk at Kmart and Murphy Stores. She was a devoted member of the Grace Baptist Church of Gainesville.

Ann Jones is survived by four children and their spouses, Peggy Jones of Farmers Branch, Texas, Patsy and Luther Fain of Gainesville, Billy and Diane Jones of Winnsboro, Texas and Jerry and Dana Jones of Gainesville, Texas; 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 8 great- great grandchildren. She is also survived by brother-in-law H E Guffee of Sadler, Texas and 8 nieces & nephews.
