Billy J. Bierschenk

Funeral Mass for Billy J. Bierschenk 80, of Valley View Tx will be held on May 28, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Lindsay, Tx with Fr. Victor Cruz officiating with burial to follow in the Valley View Cemetery. A rosary will be recited on Tuesday May 27, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. followed by visitation at the Geo. J. Carroll and Son funeral home. Billy passed away on May 23, 2014 at his home.

Billy was born on March 23, 1934 in Cooke County to Bill and Mary Neu Bierschenk. Billy enlisted in the United States Army on Nov. 8, 1956 and was honorably discharged in 1958 serving 17 months in Germany. He married Dolores Grewing on April 23, 1960..Billy loved his children, grandchildren and great.grandchildren. He loved farming and operating a dairy, enjoyed vacationing with his family and visiting with friends and family.

Billy is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Dolores, children son Wayne Bierschenk and wife Lisa,daughters Pam Collett, Brenda Dennis and Diana Barnes and husband Jim, grandchildren Cary, Matthew and Austin Collett, Ty Towery, Connor and Lauren Bierschenk, Trevor Shugart and Hunter Barnes and great grandchildren Alec, Madalynn, Meredyth and Aubrey Collett and numerous nieces and nephews. Brother and sisters Imelda Rauschuber, Jodie Rauschuber, Bobby Bierschenk, Betty Henscheid, Mary Nell Klement, Kenneth Bierschenk and Dennis Bierschenk., Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents and brother Edgar Bierschenk.
