Sylvia Shirlene Miles

Funeral service for Sylvia Shirlene Miles will be held on Monday June 9 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Southside Baptist Church with the Rev. Duke Dowling officiating with burial to follow in the Graford Cemetery in Graford Tx at 3:00 p.m. No visitation is planned. Shirlene went to live eternally with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 5 2014 in Denison Tx.

Shirlene was born on September 16, 1939 in Palo Pinto Tx to Benjamin Franklin and Lucinda Elizabeth West Sims. Shirlene was a member of the Southside Baptist Church. She would be the first to tell anyone that she was never defined by her many years of hard work throughout her career, she was'nt defined by her name, obstacles or the good times throughout her life. Shirlene would say she is defined through her role as a child of God, by the grace and mercy of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and by the direction of the Holy Spirit. Shirlene would say she is defined by the old Rugged Cross where Jesus died for the sins of all who turn to him for Salvation. She would say " I want to see you in Heaven where eternal life is yours for the asking".

Shirlene is survived by those she referred to to as " The most valued Blessings in life " her family, daughters and son in laws Debbie and Dale Baggett, Annette and Larry Henson sons and daughters in law Larry and April Ballou, David and Donna Ballou and son Tommy Hawkins sister and brother in law Veda and Thomas Moore and brother Paul Sims and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren who were with out a doubt her pride and joy, as well as many cherished nephews and nieces.

Shilene was preceded in death by her parents and sister Carolyn Wagner.. She is also survived by her many sisters and brothers in Christ at Southside Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Jason Reedy, Danny Reed, Jesse Renteria, Jeff Beggs, Ray Wagner and Bryan Marlin. You may sign the on line registry at geojcarroll.com
