James was born January 1, 1940 in Scotland, Texas to Joe and Elizabeth Krahl. He married LaChrista Lutkenhaus on June 10, 1961. They resided at the same residence for 53 years with the exception of the two years spent in the army. He was a dairy farmer, then machinist with Valenite then Superior Machining for over thirty years. He so loved his family, but especially loved spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His passion was his gardening and yard, but his biggest passion was his woodworking. He made crosses for his church family or anyone he encountered. The crosses have traveled all over the world, even to the Vatican. His legacy will live on through his children. James passed away June 13, 2014 in Denton.
He is survived by his wife LaChrista of 53 years; daughter Brooke Bullock and her husband David; daughter Shelly Burris and her husband Greg; son Trent Krahl; son Cody Krahl and his wife Sherry; grandchildren Corey Bullock, John Bullock, Russell Bullock, Whitney Reeves, Kristine Beard, Brittany Krahl, Katie Krahl, Mallory Krahl, Tyler Krahl, Justin Krahl, Emillee Krahl, and Parker Krahl. He is also survived by great-grandchildren Kaden Bullock, Karsten Bullock, Avery Bullock, Thomas Bullock, Chase Bullock, Oliver Gotay, Aiden Reeves, Macey Reeves, and Brady Beard.
He was our rock, and a role model for his entire family.
