Roy Gene Massey

Funeral services for Roy Gene Massey, 79, of Woodbine, will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, June 6, 2014 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Arthur Green officiating. Graveside services are set for 4:00 PM following the chapel service in the Nelson Grove Cemetery in Woodbine. A visitation will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, June 5, 2014 at the funeral home.

Mr. Massey passed away June 1, 2014 in Gainesville, with his wife at his side.

Roy Gene was born October 12, 1934 in Gainesville, to "Jerry" Connie and Eddie Bernice Massey. He enjoyed spending time and working around his home and yard and tending his cattle. He also had a passion for classic cars, especially his '57 Ford. Roy Gene dearly loved his family.

Mr. Massey is survived by his wife Theresa Massey of Woodbine; children Eddie Russell Massey, Theresa Lanette Massey-Stinnett; grandchildren Justin Massey, Tyler Massey, Heather Massey, and Eddie Massey, Jr.; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Roy Gene was preceded in death by his parents; son Roy Gene (Rowdy) Massey, Jr.
