A memorial rosary with celebration of life to follow for Mark Joseph Bayer, 28, of Denton, is set for 5:00 PM Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home in Gainesville.

Mark was born in Muenster on August 28, 1985 to Carl Joseph and Norma Jean (Richardson) Bayer. He went to be with the Lord on August 22, 2014 in Denton.

Mark was a 2004 graduate of Muenster High School. Soon after graduation, he went to work as an automotive mechanic. He then went on to become a welder for Schwalbe Inc., later building his welding career working for his uncle Herbert Richardson. After working for Herbert, he went to work for Felderhoff Brothers Drilling, building and working on rigs. Mark had dreamed of having his own welding rig with a bed he designed. That dream came true when he built a rig naming it "Ronda". He loved being outdoors, golfing, softball in his spare time, fishing, and hunting. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and was a kind and loving person that never met a stranger.

He is survived by his father Carl Bayer and his wife Sandy of Muenster; mother Norma Bayer and her partner Sandy Wimmer of Muenster; brother Travis Bayer and his wife Kenda of Muenster; one adored niece Krista Bayer of Muenster; maternal grandmother Dorthy Cook and her husband Harold of Gainesville; paternal grandmother Rosalee Bayer of Muenster; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
