Funeral services for Wanda Fae Floyd, 79, of Gainesville, will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Huffman officiating. Burial will follow in the New Resthaven Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 PM Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Floyd passed away on September 7, 2014 in Gainesville. She was born on July 8, 1935, in Bells, to John Edward and Bessie Mae Wright Smith.

Wanda was employed at Linda Jo Shoe Factory and Weber Aircraft.
Mrs. Floyd is survived by her husband James T. Floyd of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law James K. and Doris Floyd of Gainesville; daughter LaQuita Moore of Gainesville; grandson and granddaughter-in-law Jonathan and Shannon Floyd of Little Elm; granddaughter and grandson-in-law Jaime and Brian Noles of Aubrey; grandson and granddaughter-in-law Shawn Moore and Krista Pharr of Gainesville; granddaughter and partner Jessica Moore and Sonjia Robinson of Indianapolis, IN; great-grandchildren Jaxon McGaha, Abby Noles, Branton Noles, Jakob Moore, Ashlyn Pharr; sister Rebecca McCarn of Denison; brother and sister-in-law Robert and Sandra Smith of Denison; sister Martha Davis of Denton; brother James Smith of Berthound, CO. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law Johnny Moore; brother-in-law George McCarn; brother-in-law Sammy Davis, Jr.; sister-in-law Vickie Smith.

Pallbearers are: grandsons Jonathan Floyd, Shawn Moore; grandson-in-law Brian Noles; nephews Scott Mutchler, Mike Mutchler, Lee Davis. Honorary Pallbearer will be great grandson Jakob Moore.
