Mariam Nolen Graham

A memorial service with reception to follow for Mariam Nolen Graham, 92, of Gainesville, are set for 2:00 PM Friday, September 19, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Don Yeager officiating. A private burial will be held at the DFW National Cemetery. No formal visitation is planned.


Mariam was born on March 31, 1922 in Fort Worth to Tainia Vaughter and Lillian Russell (Miller) Nolen. She passed away on September 14, 2014 in Gainesville.


Mariam was a veteran of WWII, proudly serving in the Women's Army Corps from 1943-1945. Mariam married Billy R. Graham on April 29, 1954 in Houston.


She is survived be her husband of 60 years Billy of Gainesville; daughter Charlotte Doud; son Neal Graham of Austin; son Stephen Graham of Gainesville; daughter Mary Beth Garrett of Cypress; grandchildren John Clayton Garrett, Benjamin Bradford Garrett, Frank Doud, and Andrew Doud; one sister; and one nephew.


She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Dorothy Langley; and a nephew.
