Funeral services for Dakota Ray Huckaby, 20, of Gainesville is set for 2:00 PM Monday, November 3, 2014 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Hardin officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, November 2, 2014 from 7:00 - 8:00 PM. A private burial will be held at a later date.

Dakota was born on June 26, 1994 in Gainesville to Jonathan Randall Grissom and Briget Lynn Huckaby. He passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 in Gainesville.

He is survived by his mother Briget Taylor of Gainesville; brother Zachary Huckaby of Gainesville; father John Grissom of Moore, OK; grandparents Jim and Christi McGuffin of Gainesville, Don and Donna Newsom of Oklahoma City, OK; and Wayne Grissom of Denton; great-grandparents Nita Murphey of Gainesville, Bill and Helen Murphey of Nocona, Mildred Walker of Gene Autry, OK; and Syvil (Great Grammy) Watkins Barnes of Moore, OK; and cousins Ricky Taylor and Blaine Taylor. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Ricky Huckaby.
