Harold ( Runt ) John Schmitz

Funeral Mass for Harold ( Runt ) John Schmitz 91, of Gainesville are set for Monday December 22, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Fr. Phil Petta officiating with burial to follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. A rosary followed by visitation will be recited on Sunday December 21, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Chapel. Harold passed away on December 19, 2014 in Gainesville, Tx.

Harold was born on January 26, 1923 in Cooke County to Theodore and Pauline Loerwald Schmitz He served in the U.S. Army during WW II, He married Clara Mages on June 23, 1949 in Muenster, Tx. and was a member of the St. Peter's Catholic Church. Harold worked for the Clyde Fishers Distribution Company .owned and operated Club 60 in LIndsay, Tx, installed ceramic tile, vinly and carpet and farmed and ranched.

Harold is survived by his wife Clara Schmitz of Gainesville, son Doug Schmitz of Gainesville, daughters Mona Finkbohner of Cedar Hill, Tx and Carla Grahl of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, grandchildren Amber Rodriguez, Cara Tundidor, Rusty Schmitz, Sean Finkbohner and Evan Finkbohner and four great grandchildren and sister Isabel " Sis " Klement of Muenster, Tx.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the building restoration at St. Peters Church in Lindsay, Tx. You may sign the on line registry at geojcarroll.com
