A memorial services for Kathy Miller Pearson 67, of Gainesville is set for 1:00 PM Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home. Family visitation will be held the hour prior to the memorial service

Kathy passed away on December 19, 2014 in Corinth TX after a lengthy illness. She was born April 24, 1947 in Gainesville to James Earl and Dorothy Mae Gore Miller.

Kathy was a 1965 graduate of Gainesville High School. At Texas Woman’s University, she earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics as well as computer science. She worked more than 35 years in the insurance industry in sales as an office manager and bookkeeper. She also worked as a consultant in the insurance industry teaching agency management computer systems.

Kathy was a world traveler and gourmet chef, attending several different cooking classes perfecting her culinary skills.

Kathy is survived by her husband Brian Pearson, daughter Melissa Schroth of Dallas, step children Michael Pearson of Gainesville, Shawn Pearson of Connecticut and Tabithae Leach and fiancé Ricky Rozelle of Whitesboro, five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Sister and brother in law Margaret and Douglas Schafer of Plano, sister Trixie Chapman of The Colony, brother and sister in law James and Nancy Miller of Denison and sister in law Linda Miller of Gainesville; aunt Juanita Gore of Dallas. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ronnie Miller.
