Graveside services for Amelia Carolyn Burkhart, 76, of Valley View, are set for 2:00 PM Monday, December 29, 2014 at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Thackerville, OK. A visitation will be held on Monday, December 29, 2014 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM.

Amelia was born on September 23, 1938 in Thackerville, OK., to W.H. and Carrie Ethyl (Bratcher) Foster. She passed away on December 25, 2014 in Valley View.

Amelia enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, playing bingo, and reading, but most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter Laura Ortega and her husband Bob of Valley View; daughter Carolyn Rodriguez and her husband Mike of Overbrook, OK; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a sister Jean Gilbreath of Gainesville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband J.D. Burkhart; son Daryl Burkhart; and a sister Gwen Stover.
