Donna Marie Anderson

Funeral services for Donna Marie Anderson, 64, of Lake Kiowa, are set for 10:00 AM Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

She was born July 26, 1950 to Elmer and Harriet Lewis in Grass Valley, CA. She met her husband, Andy, while working as a nurse in Alameda, CA. They were married in November 1974. Donna spent her life as a wife and stay-at-home mother for her three children, and devoted much of her time working alongside her husband in the ministry within the church. Donna passed away in the loving company of her family and friends on February 4, 2015.

Donna is survived by her husband Andy of Lake Kiowa; mother Harriet Lewis of Lake Kiowa; son and daughter-in-law Andrew and Tara Anderson of Denton; daughter Sara Anderson of Little Elm; daughter and son-in-law Megan and Aaron Nunley of McKinney; her grandchildren Andrew IV, Chloe, Eva, Cora, Caden, Cole, Parker, and Fisher; her two brothers Dan Lewis of Lake Kiowa and Don Lewis of Grass Valley, CA; her sister and brother-in-law Dianne and Bill Armstrong of Sparks, NV.

She is also survived by numerous friends she considered family who belonged to New Life Bible Church in Gainesville.

Donna battled breast cancer for the past four years and her faith in Christ carried her through and the love of her family kept her fighting. Those who knew her know that she is now in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and for that, we all rejoice. Donna was known by many in the community as she served others through her strong faith. Because of that, we know that she would love to have all welcome to share in a celebration of praise for her homecoming. There will be a reception, following the burial service, at New Life Bible Church, 3901 East Broadway, Gainesville, Texas.
