Juanita L. Hardy aka "Nanny"

A Memorial service will be held at Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015 at 2 p.m. to honor and celebrate the life of Juanita L. Hardy. Mrs. Hardy, known to many as "Nanny" was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and genuine humanitarian to all who had the blessing of being a part of her life. Nanny was a teacher, mentor, role model and pillar of the community to many, as she taught chemistry and physics for over 40 years, retiring from Gainesville High School in 1985.

She was preceded in death by her late husband Ben Floyd Hardy Jr. in October 2003, and her siblings Douglas Viers, Buddy Viers, and Floyd Viers.

She is survived by her daughter Judy Hardy, grandchildren Candice Ashley DeLeon, Halley Rodriquez, Adam Nadeau, and great grandchild Anaya DeLeon.


Juanita Hardy was loved and respected by all who knew her and will be sorely missed.
