Lorene Catherine Sandmann

Funeral Mass for Lorene Catherine Sandmann, 88, of Valley View, is set for 2:00 PM Friday, February 20, 2015 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at the funeral home at 6:00 PM Thursday, February 19, 2015, with a visitation to follow.

Lorene was born May 21, 1926 in Muenster to George and Mary (Loeffelholz) Lutkenhaus. She passed away on February 17, 2015 in Gainesville.

She is survived by her husband Henry J. Sandmann of Valley View; daughter Laquita Neu and her husband Leon of Gainesville; son Kevin Sandmann and his wife Linda of Valley View; son Gary Sandmann and his wife Betty of Gainesville; daughter Janet Womack and her husband Richard of Valley View; son Carl Sandmann of Sanger; 21 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-granchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son Alan Sandmann; great-granddaughter Gabriel Taylor; brother and sister-in-law Gus and Armella Lutkenhaus; sister and brother-in-law Irene and Harvey Wilson; and sister and brother-in-law Pauline and Louis Sicking.

Memorial contributions may be made to Home Hospice of Cooke County, or ABBA of Cooke County.
