Michael Lee Springfield

Funeral Services for Michael Lee Springfield, 59 of Gainesville, are set for 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 6:00 - 7:00 PM on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the funeral home. A private burial will take place at a later date.

Michael was born on February 8, 1956 in Sherman to Thurman and Annabelle (Mosman) Springfield. He passed away on April 12, 2015 in Gainesville.

He enjoyed being with family and friends, and riding his motorcycle. He worked for Weber Aircraft for 15 years.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Patty Springfield of Gainesville; son Billy Franklin and his wife Jennifer of Gainesville; son Jeffrey Lawrence and his wife Shannon of Colorado Springs, CO.; son Christopher Springfield of Gainesville; daughter Melissa Banks and her husband Cody of Gainesville; brother Robert Springfield of Gainesville; grandchildren Jordan, Dillon, Sara, John, Tara, Derek, Jaydn, Gabriel, Savanna, Wallace, and Jamie; great-grandson Bentley; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death his parents; sister Debra Sloop; sister Barbara Langston; brother Odell Springfield; and beloved pet of 15 years, Chi-Chi.
