Geraldine "Gerry" Armstrong

Memorial Mass for Geraldine W. (Gerry) Armstrong, 93, of Gainesville, is set for 10:00 AM Friday, June 5, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Fr. Gary Picou officiating. A rosary with visitation to follow will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday, June 4, 2015.

Gerry was born on October 27, 1921 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Lee and Margie Malone Bradberry Wilson. She passed away on May 31, 2015 in Gainesville surrounded by her family. Gerry married Donald Armstrong on December 3, 1949 in Longview. They moved to Gainesville in May of 1963 when Donald was transferred with Sinclair Oil.

Gerry went to work at Montgomery Wards in October of 1964. In February of 1965, she went to work in Richardson at Texas Instruments. She later transferred to the new plant in Sherman where she retired in March of 1984. After retirement, she became very active at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Gerry is survived by daughter Dana Moss and her husband Jim of Woodbine; daughter Lola Britton of Santa Maria, CA.; daughter Nikki Eddleman and her husband Matt of Valley View; daughter Patrice Henry and her husband Jody of Lindsay; son Bob Allen and his wife Dixie of Spring; 16 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Donald; one brother; and one sister.
