Eddie Florine Lance

Funeral service for Eddie Florine Lance 101, of Gainesville are set for Monday June 8, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Chapel with burial to follow in Witt Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday June 7, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. til 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Lance passed away on June 4, 2015 in Gainesville.

Florine was born on November 16, 1913 in Cooke County to John and Mary Finley Grundy. She was a active and one of the founding members of the Downard Fairplains Community Center, she was active in the foster grandparent program, she and her husband operated a dairy for many years and she was member of the Church of Christ.

Florine is survived by her daughter Mary Darlene Hensley, a brother Pete Grundy, sister Madge Cottrell, grandson William Joel Teafatiller and granddaughter Marilyn Renee Hensley, great grandchildren Kevin Teafatiller, William Joel Teafatiller Jr., Martha Kate Teafatiller, Donna Lee Chy- Ann Teafatiller, Tracy Ronald Clifford ( Trey ) Meek, William Tyler Lance Hensley, Tristian Baker and Christopher West King, 11 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William Monroe ( Loop ) Lance, son William Loyd Lance, grandson Eric Lance Hensley, great grandson Jesse Vincent Hensley, brothers Robert ( Bob ) , William ( Bill ) and Kenneth Grundy, sisters Enod Horn, Edith Howard, Lois Dees, Ruth Clark, Blanche Thompson and Jean Clark.
