Maria Teresa Gomez

Funeral mass for Maria Teresa Gomez, 62, of Gainesville, will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Gainesville at 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 10, 2015, with Fr. Phil Petta officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. A rosary will be held at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home at 7:00 PM Tuesday, June 9, 2015.

Teresa was born October 15, 1952 in Nieves Zacatecas, Mexico to Perfeto Gomez and Maria De la luz Vasquez.

Teresa was a very loving woman. She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She always found time to visit with many friends that she had. She looked forward to spending her Sundays with her husband at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sherman. She also enjoyed going out to garage sales with her daughters and friends. Teresa touched the lives of many people with her generosity and maintained her trademark sense of humor all the way to the end.

Teresa is survived by her husband Porfirio Cardenas; daughter Cynthia Moreno Gomez; son Jaime Moreno Gomez; daughter Jaqueline Cardenas; daughter Jessica Cardenas; son Eloy Cardenas; daughter Erika Cardenas. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
