Services
Funeral Services for Margaret Jo (King) Stark, 87, of Gainesville are scheduled for Thursday, June 11 at 10:00 a.m. in the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Chapel with Rev. Mark Loewen officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Chapel at 9:30 a.m., prior to the service. Margaret Jo passed away on June 8, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her family and friends.

History
Margaret Jo (King) Stark was born to Tom Lynch and Jessie Grice Lynch on November 3, 1927 in Gainesville, Texas.

After graduating from Gainesville High School, she performed in the Gainesville Community Circus, worked the ticket office at the State Theater and was an executive secretary at Texas Power & Light. She even chauffeured John Wayne down California Street in a War Bond parade, during this time.

In 1953, she married Bill King, Sr. and together they had three sons; Bill, Jr.; Keith and Karl.

She later went back to school and completed her Bachelors of Science in Education to become a school teacher. She taught Kindergarten and second grade at Edison Elementary for many years, before retiring in 1994.

After the passing of her husband Bill King, Sr. in 1990, she married long time friend and local attorney Richard Stark in 1992.
She and Richard enjoyed traveling and spending time with their extended family. Her hobbies included oil painting, Bridge club, and golf. She was a long time member of both Whaley United Methodist and First Christian Churches.

In life and now in death, she handled everything with dignity and made everyone around her proud that they knew her.

Survivors
She is survived by her husband Richard Stark, son Bill King and wife Latresa, son Karl King and his wife Floy, grandson Grice King and his wife Nikki, grandson Derek King and his wife Sybil. Stepchildren Dave Stark and wife Leslie, Holly Stark and spouse, Lucy Sutton and husband Steven, and many step grandchildren, great grand children and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bill King, Sr., son Keith G. King, stepson Tom Stark, her parents, four sisters, and one brother.

Pallbearers are Grice King, Derek King, Chris Denison, Robert LaSalle, Sean Loftice, and Kyle McKamie. Honorary Pallbearer is Chris Lindsay.
