Robert (Bob) Purvey

Funeral services for Robert (Bob) Purvey, 83, of Neches, formally of Gainesville, are set for 11:00 AM Friday, July 3, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church with Pastor Robert L. Purvey, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, July 2, 2015 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mr. Purvey passed away June 26, 2015 in Tyler. He was born February 17, 1932 in Ardmore, OK to Bob and Velma Ross Purvey.

Bob is survived by his wife Regina Byars Purvey of Neches; his sons Victor Jones, Robert K. Purvey, Frank Purvey, Vincent Purvey, Darrell Monroe, Gerald Monroe, Bryan Williams, Monte Whetstone; daughters Kim Jones, Sherri Purvey; 29 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Purvey was preceded in death by his parents and by his daughter Bobby Ann Purvey.
