Florence D. Richter

Funeral services for Florence D. Richter, 85, formerly of Gainesville, are set for 1:00 PM Sunday, July 12, 2015 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hubert Wright officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday, July 11, 2015 at the funeral home.
Florence passed away Thursday, July 9, 2015 in Pilot Point, Texas. She was born May 18, 1930 in Haddon Heights, NJ to James E. and Reba DuPell.

Florence married Charles E. Richter, Jr. on January 26, 1952. They moved to Gainesville, Texas in 1973 and she lived in Gainesville for over 40 years. Florence worked at Weber Aircraft for 18 years, and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 1922. She loved the Dallas Cowboys, enjoyed cooking, and was known for her delicious potato salad and deviled eggs.

She is survived by son, Charles (Gwen) Richter of Gainesville, TX; daughters, Donna (George) Keller of Krugerville, TX; Sue (Randy) Yeida of Mt. Vernon, IN; Linda (David) Grubbs of Decatur, TX; and Jeanne Dyer & John Jacobs of Mt. Vernon, IN; grandchildren, Michael (Crystal) Pinizzotto, Cody Price, Jacob (Tenessa) Price, Stacie (Lucas) Ricketts, Tracy Reed, Kyle Alexander, Brandy Alexander, Dustin (Jennifer) Dyer, Malia Dyer and Josh (Sheri) Keller; 16 great grandchildren; nephew James DuPell of Maryland.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother James; husband Charles E. Richter and long-time friend Don Armstrong.
