Bobbie Dell Hanford

August 26, 1943 — July 11, 2015

A celebration of the life of Bobbie Hanford will be held at the Ross Point Community Center in Saturday, July 18, 2015 from 10:00 to 12:00 PM. Brad Layton of Lubbock will be officiating. Bobbie passed from this life on July 11, 2015 at the Renaissance Care Center in Gainesville. The cause of death was kidney cancer.

Bobbie graduated from Era Schools, attended Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, and received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Queensland, in Brisbane, Australia. She continued her education at the University of North Texas working on a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice. Bobbie used that degree at the Gainesville State School where she was the Youth Rights Specialist and Head of security. Bobbie worked for Denton County from 1990 to 2008 and retired as the Deputy Director of Institutional Services. For the last few years, Bobbie had been a para-professional working in the Slidell ISD, where she delighted in working with the special needs children.

She is survived by her children Jesika Hanford of Byron Bay, New South Wales and Ian Hanford of Albuquerque, New Mexico; sisters Gail Knight of Era and Karen Chapman of Austin; brothers Jimmie Kindiger of Whitesboro, and Eddie Kindiger of Callisburg. She is also survived by her beloved god-daughter, Alex Curiel.

She was preceded in death by her parents A.V. and Mary Ruth Kindiger; sister Ruth Ann Kindiger McKinney, and brothers Joe Frank Kindiger and Jerry Lynn Kindiger.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers; donations be made to the Home Hospice of Cooke County, 316 S. Chestnut, Gainesville, TX 76240.
