John Tyler Gage, Jr.

Funeral services for John Tyler Gage, Jr., 80, of Gainesville, are set for Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at the Church of Christ in Coleman, OK., with J.R. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Enterprise Cemetery in Wapanucka, OK. under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home in Gainesville.

John was born on December 11, 1934 in Kamay, Texas to John Tyler and Louise (Thompson) Gage, Sr. He passed away at his residence on July 13, 2015.

John is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty Willingham Gage; son John Tyler III and his wife Luanne; daughter Laura Gage Stiles and her husband Lynn; daughter Linda Gage Long and her husband Kenny; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers Dale, Joe, and Leslie Gage; and many who knew him as "Granddaddy".

Pallbearers will be Tyler Gage, Travis Long, Steven Northington, Dave Walters, Michael Davis, and Tim Hayes. Honorary pallbearers will be Stran Northington, Orrin Walters, Cooper Walters, Korbin Hayes, and Silas Walters

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Standford House in Gainesville, Texas.
