Betty May Lucas

Graveside services for Betty May Lucas, 74, of Richardson, is set for 10:00 AM Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville. A gathering in remembrance of Betty to follow at 2800 Harris St. in Gainesville. No visitation is planned. Services are under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Betty was born on December 3, 1940 in Collinsville to Cecil Ray and and Thelma Jane (Mayfield) Sutton. She peacefully passed away on August 5, 2015 in Dallas surrounded by her family.

Betty was a resident of Gainesville until 1983, when she moved to Hollister, MO. She returned to the DFW area in 2009.

She is survived by her sister Emma Lou McDaniel and her husband Mike of Duncanville; daughter Kimberly McElreath of Gainesville; daughter Tommie Jay Kukes and her husband Troy of Springfield, MO.; and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Tommy Lucas; daughter Sherrie Wolfe; and grandson Jimmy Wolfe.
