Graveside services for Vongala Christine Pratt, 81, of Gainesville,? is set for 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at the Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville. A visitation will be held at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home on Monday, August 24, 2015 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM.

Gala was born on December 25, 1933 in Thackerville, OK. to James Covy and Margie Susann (Bratcher) Sims. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 21, 2015 after a long battle with diabetes.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years and 10 months, Billy R. (Bill) Pratt of Gainesville; son James Paul Pratt of Gainesville; son Billy Joe Pratt and his wife Jeanette of Era; granddaughter Tanya (Pratt) Moore and her husband John; step-grandchildren Weldon Patterson, James Patterson, Patti Bridges and her husband James, Julie Maughan and her husband Karl, Amy Patterson, and Carrie Mabe and her husband Chris; 18 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother James Sims of Wilson, OK.; brother Louie Sims of Denton; brother Dewey Sims of Port St. Lucia, FL.; sister Betty Leise of Orlando, FL.; sister Patty Fitzpatrick of Port Lavaca; sister Kay Rose of Waurika, OK.; sister Carolyn Watkins and her husband Starriett of Hastings, OK.; and sister Susie White of Stillwater, OK.
