Dorothy "Dottie" Anna Pyott

A memorial service for Dorothy “Dottie” Anna Raab Pyott, 84, of Lake Kiowa, will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday, October 11, 2015 at the Lake Kiowa Lodge, in Lake Kiowa, Texas.

Dottie passed away October 2, 2015 in Gainesville. She was born December 3, 1930 in Wheeling, WV to Leopold “Leo” H. Raab, Sr. and Anna Barbara (Heimiller) Raab. She proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1954. She also was school bus driver for the San Angelo ISD for fifteen years.

Dottie had been a resident of Lake Kiowa since 2007. She was active in the Kiowa Women’s Club and played Bunco regularly. She enjoyed the many visits from friends and neighbors in the Lake Kiowa community.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Karen and Lou Vander Molen of Lake Kiowa; son and daughter-in-law James and Sandy Pyott of Seguin; son and daughter-in-law Kevin and Hilary Pyott of Odessa; grandchildren Louie and Angela Vander Molen, Laurie Vander Molen, Tim and Christina Vander Molen; Caradee and Josh Trejo, Cason Pyott; eight great-grand-children.

Dottie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Hank Pyott; her sister Mary Reed; brothers Bernard and Leo H. Raab, Jr.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Home Hospice of Cooke County or the Indian Creek Volunteer Fire Dept.
