Mr. Clark passed away October 12, 2015 in Wylie.

Mr. Clark was born September 21, 1935 in Gainesville to John Thomas and Emma Jean (Carr) Clark. He played football for Gainesville High School where he graduated in 1955. He was the Golden Glove Heavyweight Champion of North Texas in 1955. Mr. Clark attended the University of Houston on a football scholarship where he majored in engineering. He began working for Texas Instruments in 1958. Mr. Clark was instrumental in project management, team building, and leadership at TI during the years of initial growth and throughout his career. He retired from TI in 1993. Mr. Clark was a member of the Richardson Junior Chamber of Commerce where he was actively involved in the growth of the community. He also participated in the neighborhood crime watch of Farmers Branch and Valwood Park Baptist Church. Mr. Clark spent many years coaching with Richardson independent sports. Interests included golf, cards, fishing, and hunting – especially for dove and pheasant in West Texas. He was also in charge of organizing the annual golf tournaments for TI and Valwood Baptist for many years. A man of strong faith, he was a regularly attending member of Valwood Baptist Church. Never having met a stranger, Mr. Clark’s personality and spirit made him a natural coach, whether in his family, at TI, a football team, or in the community.
