Funeral Mass for Anna Mae Bezner, 91, of Lindsay, will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, October 17, 2015 at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Fr. Phil Petta and Fr. Raymond McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery. A wake service will be held 7:00 PM Friday, October 16, 2015 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
Anna passed away October 13, 2015 in Lindsay. She was born October 21, 1923 to Alphonse John and Azilie Valerie Ordoyne Hebert in Thibodaux, LA.
Anna, the youngest of four children, moved from Thibodaux to Marrero, LA before her first birthday. She met Joseph while he was stationed in New Orleans in late 1944. They married May 20, 1945 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Marrero and moved to Lindsay where they began their married life.
Anna was a loving wife and mother. She spent her early years as a stay at home mother and housewife, but opened the Beauty Bar in her home in 1958 for about five years. After closing the beauty shop, she worked at Gibson's, then Weber Aircraft, before joining her husband working with Germania Insuance at the chapter secretary.
Anna is survived by her husband of 70 years, Joseph John Bezner of Lindsay; daughters and sons-in-law: Judy and Roy Morisak of Flower Mound, Barbara and George Taylor of North Richland Hills, Kathy and John Garrett of Gainesville, Jo Ann and Lynn Huchton of Gainesville; sons and daughters in law: Skipper and Barbara Bezner of Lindsay, Michael and Jan Bezner of Georgetown, Kenny and Suzanne Bezner of Lindsay, Chuck and Cathy Bezner of Gainesville; 24 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Anna was preceded in death by one brother Elmo Hebert; 2 sisters Nellie Hebert Thomasse and Mildred Hebert Richardson.
