Doris Faye Williams

Funeral services for Doris Faye Williams, 79, of Gainesville, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 23, 2015 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.


Mrs. Williams passed away October 19, 2015 in Gainesville.


Doris was born December 21, 1935 to William A. and Lucinda (Covington) Hammer. She married William Williams on March 31, 1959 in Roswell, NM. The family moved to Gainesville in 1972. She cared deeply for her family and will be sorely missed.


Survivors include: daughter Deborah DePriest of Gainesville; daughter Kris Williams of Thackerville; grandchildren: Steven, Bailey, and Nick; great-grandchild Austin; sister Glenda Hammer of Flower Mound; sister Margaret Bennett (Jerry) of Gainesville; and brother Jingles of Oklahoma City, OK.


Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband in 1999; and brother Troy Hammer.
